Monique is a gifted pop singer & songwriter. Her powerhouse vocals are energizing and uplifting. Characterized by soaring belt notes and a soulful interpretation of lyrics, Monique’s commercial pop tracks hint towards her main influences Motown, Michael Jackson and Celine Dion.
Monique is a passionate and a seasoned performer, and having honed her craft of entertainment in the Sydney music scene, she brings her exciting voice, dance and stage presence to every show, and aims to have audiences always returning for more.
Career Highlights:
Monique Helene completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree at University of New South Wales, majoring in Performance & Theatre. Her formal qualifications go hand in hand with her singing and performing talent.
In 2007, Monique joined renowned Cabaret producers Bor Productions (UK) as their lead production singer for MSC Cruises (Italy) and toured all across Europe and the Mediterranean singing and dancing in French Cabaret inspired shows. She then performed on the Japanese ship, Pacific Venus for Frederich Promotions in 2008. Her performances over the years have included exciting dancing, costumes and an ability to entertain in 6 different languages that include English, French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic and Japanese which have earned her rave reviews.
In 2009, Monique launched her singer/songwriter career as a commercial pop artist under her sassy stage name at the time "MoniQ", releasing her debut EP “Get the Picture”. The EP was produced by highly sought after DNA Songs of Sony Music who work with the best such as Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Marvin Priest. She has also released 3 music videos, “Get the Picture”, “The Way You Move Me” by FST and “Free My Mind”.
Monique's vocal recording session work to be used for advertisements on television such as "Housewives" and "America's Next Top Model" for FOXTEL, "The Voice" for Channel Nine, "X Factor" Channel 7 , and many others.
Back home in Australia, Monique has performed her own cabaret show across major entertainment Clubs in Sydney including Revesby Workers, Wenty Leagues, South Sydney Juniors, Bankstown Sports, Canterbury Leagues and The Star Casino to name a few. Monique has been a highly sought after lead vocalist/performer to front regular club show bands such as Stars Tribute Showband, Sydney Party Bands, Think Baby Think band, The Masterjam, Peter Morgan duo as well as her own Q Sound duo.
In June 2021, she wowed audiences in the Wonderful Show performing renditions of Whitney Houston's powerhouse repertoire alongside Peter Morgan performing songs from the Stevie Wonder Songbook at Wenty Leagues Club. Coming out of lockdown in summer 2021, Monique has a number of production shows she is excited to perform across clubs NSW including The Madonna Experience and Wonderful show and many others under the Sydney Party Bands banner.
